In addition to 2 1/2 hours of music for Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum, BRC Imagination Arts commissioned David Kneupper for a concert work for orchestra based on music from the American Civil War. The result was the five-movement Civil War Suite.

To capture the tragedy of Gettysburg in music, the two iconic songs of the North and South – Battle Hymn of the Republic and Dixie’s Land – grind together in a single piece of music by David Kneupper. In the Museum, this music accompanies a 50-foot mural of the battle of Gettysburg by painter Keith Rocco.
